The Union meetings will begin now at 6 PM.  It is the hope that this will encourage more members to attend and participate in their Local Union.

New IBEW websites

The IBEW has launched two new websites to go along with the IBEW HOUR POWER site.  The new sites are geared to inform the membership and the general public about the IBEW.

NEW IBEW MEMBER WEBSITE

The International office has come out with a website that deals with issues in the Union construction industry.  It is a site for IBEW members to hear about construction sites, and the concerns of customers all over the IBEW.  This new site has just gone live over the weekend and is already receiving reviews about its content and the information that it is spreading to our members.  Take this opportunity to view the new site.  www.ibewhourpower.com

Local 223 has joined forces with Locals 7, 96, 103, and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative to install solar lights in five communities throughout the Commonwealth.  The first to be installed was at the Wareham Town Hall.  These projects will provide the communities an awareness of renewable energy and how the IBEW is at the forefront of this new technology.  Click here and read about the project and related reports on renewable energy.
