The Application Process for IBEW Local 223's Apprenticeship Training.

 

  • Applications are accepted from January 1 until December 31 for the following year's apprenticeship class.
  • Applications received in 2008 are applying for the 2009 apprenticeship class.
  • Applicants for the apprentice program must first fill out an application in person at the Union Hall.

The minimum requirements for filing an application:

  • Be a minimum age of 18 years old age at time of selection
  • Show evidence of successful completion of one full year of high school algebra with a passing grade.
  • Be at least a high school graduate or have a GED
  • Provide a transcript for high school and post high school education and training
  • Pay a $25.00 processing fee

If you meet the requirements, you will be scheduled to take the NJATC apprenticeship aptitude test.

If you obtain a qualifying score on the test, you will be scheduled for an oral interview with the apprenticeship acceptance committee
